So this community has been hybernating for months and months, but now it's time to officially start it up. The members who already have joined - please check the new user info for community description and rules. Members are encouraged to spread the word and build the membership. We hope to see some good discussions here very soon!

just curious: why start this new community? how is this community different from postqueer?

this one is meant to focus more on gender issues rather than sexuality, like postqueer.

well, actually, here's a better answer to your question, now that i'm somewhat awake: when my friend started this place 2 years ago, it was meant for discussion of the link between mental states and one's perception of gender (and sexuality). as in, exploring how the idea of gender affects us, whether it be the society's definitiion of gender, or our own. When he asked me to mod this community, i wanted to expand the topics a little to encompass some other issues. the difference is that postqueer mostly focuses on sexuality-related isses and news. we want to focus more on discussion and gender issues. say for example, i recently wrote a paper concerning gender and creativity... this comm would be the place i'd share the paper, hoping to spark some discussion about the results. hope that was a little more helpful than my previous reply, hehe
